Women Rising is the founding partner, director, and producer of ProtectHer. With the belief that in order to safeguard the dorm rooms, we have to activate the influence of the locker rooms, ProtectHer is a first of its kind sexual assault prevention program targeting male athletes. The four-part film anchored program in development is made up of a documentary style film and three shorter film pieces, all delivered with companion curriculum. The program will be available for license to schools and universities in Spring 2017 and will be delivered via a protected, proprietary digital platform.

With three weeks advance, Women Rising volunteered to Direct and Co-Produce the Women's March on Austin rally. From creative direction to scripting, from talent programming and physical and post-production, our team contributed to making the January 21, 2017 event both, the largest march and the largest gathering of women in Texas History.
As producers of the official documentary based on the life of Lizzie Velasquez, titled "A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story", Women Rising oversaw every aspect of the film. Born with a rare syndrome that prevents her from gaining weight, Lizzie was bullied in school by her classmates for looking different and online as a teenager when she discovered a video labeling her as “The Ugliest Woman in the World.” Lizzie’s story proves that there is life on the other side of bullying and that self-worth and compassion are essential along the way. The documentary chronicles unheard stories and details of Lizzie’s physical and emotional journey up to her multi-million viewed TEDx talk, and follows her pursuit from a motivational speaker to Capitol Hill as she lobbies for the first federal anti-bullying bill. A BRAVE HEART premiered opening weekend of the 2015 South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival, went on to win 10 awards from 9 festivals, qualified for the Academy Award, secured domestic broadcast distribution with LifetimeTV as the cable network's first documentary acquisition, international broadcast distribution with National Geographic Channel, was selected as a film envoy for the U.S. Department of State's American Film Showcase, and was named a double honoree by the Webby Awards.
